An Inside Look Inside Livingston’s Latest Student TV Series “Cadburry”

TV shows come in many varieties. Some are comedies, some are thrilling mysteries, and some are “Cadburry,” an all-new show produced in Livingston and set to premiere on June 9 at 7 p.m. in the Livingston High School (LHS) auditorium.

A weird world. A strange shopping center.

“Cadburry” is a series that follows the story of one Davis Burningham, who finds himself in a strange new reality: the Cadburry Mall.

The project began in November 2021 when then-freshmen Vineeth Kanpa, Paul Kim, and Elliot Radler were walking around the Livingston Mal and Kanpa was struck with the show’s initial idea. Over the next few months, the trio developed the project’s story, forming a simple idea into the basis of a five-episode series.

Taking the lead, Radler began spending nearly three hours a day working on the project: writing scripts and shot lists, shooting, editing, working on visual effects, and marketing.

"My passion for 'Cadburry' comes from my desire to share my vision with others," said Radler. "'Cadburry' is a fast-paced Sci-fi/Action series, which makes you slow down and reflect on what you just watched."

Despite Radler’s overall enthusiasm for the process, the production of “Cadburry” wasn’t always smooth sailing. Most scenes were shot at the Livingston Mall, the Livingston Senior/Community Center or the Livingston Presbyterian Church, where special permission was needed to film. Many required complex shots and stunts with six to twelve people needed on set, making coordination very important.

Making “Cadburry” a reality was thus a massive underaking, and Radler was sure to highlight the people who helped him along the way. The production of the show involved 20 LHS student actors, eight LHS student crew members, and four LHS students involved with post-production. Overall, the total cast and crew of “Cadburry” includes roughly 40 local teens.

After years of hard work and dedication, the first three episodes of the show are nearing completion. The first trailer for the show was released on the Official Cadburry Youtube Channel in April 2024, with the final trailer releasing in April 2025. The most recent trailer can be viewed in its entirety below.
